The Rejected Justice Mix
Fabric, the legendary London club, asked Justice to do a FabricLive mix. That was a big deal back then.
Justice worked on it. But instead of building a tight, functional club mix, they made something closer to their private listening habits: old records, strange moods, sacred melodies sitting next to cheap synths.
When Fabric heard it, they didn’t hate it. It just didn’t fit the FabricLive series.
So the mix was rejected.
Instead of fixing it, Justice shared it anyway. So they gave it away as a Christmas mix for fans.
That rejected FabricLive mix became known as the Justice Xmas Mix and people loved it for the exact reason it was rejected.
Sometimes what doesn’t fit the brief fits real life better.
