Been getting more questions lately about the leaderboard in the @reachbot mini-app, so here’s a quick breakdown of how it works right now:
@reachbot tracks a selected set of active Farcaster traders with a winning history and ranks them in the weekly PnL leaderboard.
How traders are selected:
– Once a week, it runs my custom Dune query to find new top traders.
– The top N traders from that query are added to the tracked users
– Selection considers a mix of metrics: overall PnL, recent activity, volume, win rate, social activity, etc
– I also double-check who gets added to keep things balanced. For example, some influencers barely trade, but when they do, it often matters. On the other side, some traders never post on socials, but their trading history speaks for itself (like @it4i, the most-followed profile in the Reach mini-app)
– If someone wants to be added to the leaderboard (and they’re an active trader with non-negative PnL), just DM me and I’ll add manually. Same if someone wants to be removed. 2 replies
