Revolut might just become the best mobile provider in Germany. Unlimited high speed 5G usually sets you back 40+€. If they also use the T-Mobile network it’s a no brainer

Interesting, German taxi app Freenow got acquired by Lyft but they’re keeping their own app, not merging into one. The app is fine but I’d rather have Lyft (and its coupons 😛)

The conservative center-right party CDU will lead the new department for digitalization and government efficiency, Germany’s version of DOGE. Ahahaha this will be such a shitshow 😂

Only 1 in 6 people in Germany have stocks! My mind can't comprehend it. So many implications: -German public probably won't notice effect of tariffs until the fuel price goes up. -Germans rely on the state too much when it comes to pensions, since there aren't enough young people to keep up with the amount of elders receiving high pensions. -Germans are risk averse and crypto adoption might be even further away. What else?

The hardest part for me about Germany is that I call it home. It feels like home and I love being there. I love my friends, family and the scenery. I love traditional German values and embrace them as much as I can. What I absolutely despise is the incompetence "leading" Germany on a national level. And it's the reason I now spend most of my time in Switzerland. Once I can remove my emotions even more I'll be better off and enjoy it for what it is, but not be sad for what Germany isn't anymore.

Ich habe gerade den Kanal /deutschland erschaffen, weil mir /germany doch etwas aufgezwungen vorkommt. Ich freue mich über deutschsprachigen Content auf Farcaster.

I was trying to understand the different insurance numbers in Germany and found the wikipedia page for 'krankenversichertennummer', which contains sample code (in four languages!) for validating the format of any insurance number my god, I love this country https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krankenversichertennummer

The channel name /germany seems so forced. Usually Germans would refer to themselves as /de /Deutschland or /D-A-CH (if we talk about language). It's one reason I didn't even find it at the beginning.
