I've wanted to try some social media automation using make[dot]com for a while. It's relatively easy if you're tech savvy, but there's a learning curve. I have a hobby that has nothing to do with art or crypto. And I wanted to upload one short headless ~30 sec handheld (non-AI generated) videos each day. But I wanted to plan weeks and hopefully a year ahead. I also didn't want to spend all that time uploading to the individual platforms. And now i don't have to. I'm doing this with free tools only. And I wanted a public record of when I started it.

I enjoy tinkering w/ old devices and finding ways to upcycle them. Like turning old computers into servers. Putting Ubuntu on older Dell machines to play w/ Docker. Turning a 2009 iMac into a stand-alone calendar display. Recently I had unused Raspberry Pi Nano laying around. Learned I could turn it into a Pi-hole for my home lab. But unlike all the others so far, this one has become a permanent fixture in the home lab setup. 🤌🏼💋

Ask and you just might receive. Icebreaker is exactly what I was looking for as a LinkedIn alternative that's Web3 forward. I especially like that I can setup multiple profiles. I'll be making two, one for EPR and for Second Realm. But really the possibilities are endless. I imagine, if you're especially deep in differing skills, you can have a profile for each. and here's more from the founder, @j4ck.eth, about importing your LinkedIn network👇🏼

Two questions: 1. What are we using instead of LinkedIn? I deleted my a few weeks ago, but hadn't really used it in years. 2. Who's creating an open sourced decentralized credential verification protocol? One that academic institutions could start using so "professional" platforms like LinkedIn can pay to plug into it instead of needing to do verification on their own. https://x.com/SMB_Attorney/status/1957483290044297643

I listen to podcasts sometimes. Every so often I catch a thought leader saying something flat-out wrong about a subject I know well. Recently someone claimed ChatGPT lowers cognition. The study they cited (which I’ve read) was flawed and designed to guarantee that result. When I raised this with the researchers, they publicly admitted they made that clear in the working paper. Yet the headline they pushed was essentially “ChatGPT makes you dummer.” And once I catch something like that from researcher or podcasters, I start questioning everything else I’ve taken from them at face value. And at that point it’s no longer entertaining. It’s unsettling.

I'm seeking some guidance. Recently my OG wallets were compromised in a phishing attack (totally preventable, totally my fault). Not where I need help specifically, but just giving context for this: I'm trying to reorient my brain around how to move forward with some Web3 products and services tied to those wallets. Let's start with @manifoldxyz. If you were in my shoes, would you start a new manifold account with wallets or would you disconnect your old wallet , keeping your existing manifold account as-is. And just connect your new wallet to it?

i've found no cheaper and more versatile daily productivity tool than a 3" x 5" index card for to-do items, shopping lists, or notes. no electricity needed works w/ many writing tools folds in half for 4 areas fits in all pockets (no bulge) easily hidden or replaced is biodegradable burns easily (you never know)

so starter packs are lists, right? if so, that took way longer for me to figure that out than it should have. if they were branded as lists they'd probably get more use? people love making lists.
