Another session of Familiar Things is a wrap (the kids are having a BLAST)! This one started with some miniature painting, and then more familiar adventures. This time, they ventured to the apothecary where they encountered Zymerwerwit's pet baby beholder (who was delighted to have visitors).

Working on a website to house D&D campaign notes. My goals is to make it public, so that anyone can use it and build into it. Laying the groundwork first.
What do you think of the flavor text for "The Weeping Tree"?

The Thaerum Cast campaign starts outside the city, at a place called "The Weeping Tree" (I'll do a cast with the description and flavor text soon). This is the miniature I printed for the first combat:

Zanruar, elven rogue/fighter, knife-handler of the Downs.
Where we started vs now.
First iteration wasn't what I had in mind (although reminded me quite a bit of Larry Elmore). Very pleased with the final iteration.

First session for Familiar Things is on the books! They made it through 3 encounters in 3 hours of play. We're roughly 1/4 of the way through the first adventure. And as I expected, the only combat so far was the one at the beginning (an obligatory one)...the rest they solved through social encounters.

Making the table tents for the kid's D&D game, Familiar Things. During combats, they'll flip it around to track HP and Initiative with dry erase.

Like these a lot more than standard table tents. Gonna be using these a fair bit. Where I got them:

There were a number of supplements created for AD&D 2nd edition like "The Complete Wizard's Handbook", "The Complete Book of Elves", and others.
The Complete Thief's Handbook was my favorite. There was a lot in there that I still haven't seen elsewhere. Fleshing out a thieves guild? Grab this book.

More art from my project! Meet Tashikshar, bog witch and fugitive from the Seers of Kalisborn.
She will be included as one of the NFTs, and she also happens to be a pregen from the 1st adventure. Who wants to play her?
More details on her soon...

I wanted to create a city map (and create a handout), and found a GREAT product:

Currently building out the old city, Dummadown ("the Downs") in the city of Thaerum Cast.

Seems a good a time as any to kickstart this channel. 😉 I have a ton of D&D content (articles, videos, art) that I plan to create and cast here (and recast into /tabletop). If you have an interest in producing compelling D&D content, reach out! 🙂

What was your most memorable D&D campaign and why? How long did the campaign last?
