i think dbacks can stand to trade away either thomas or mccarthy. both everyday caliber OF with a ton of rookie contract years remaining (think they might get more for thomas, and would rather keep mccarthy)
bring in a stellar relief arm that can graduate to closer role. Maybe some 1B prospects to replace Walker

with Nelly dealing recently and Diaz looking as good as anyone, dbacks might be sitting on 7 viable starting pitchers. bullpen now looking good and deep. 5 everyday caliber outfielders. Most under contract for 11 years.
what do you do here? build up the farm of trade up for a superstar??

assuming healthy, dbacks roster is super deep, talented, lots of everyday caliber players in the platoon.
entire team minus walker and sewald are locked down through next year at least (most 2027+). and with so many young guys, payroll is light.
curious to see what they do with guys like Mccarthy

today’s win feels like a turning point into the second half. wasn’t a clean win, but entire team contributed and we beat arguably the best club in the league.
Eugenio with another great game, Paul gets it done, contributions across the lineup.

Zac looking like Zac after a quick IL stint.
Just gotta find a way to make it to the playoffs and fellas back from injury.
Gallen/Kelly/ERod/Pfaadt as a playoff rotation and Montgomery around can take us back to the WS.
Hanging around 500 with all the injuries so far feels like we can still be real good

DBacks look like their former selves yesterday... Just needed Perdomo back at SS :)
Now get Blaze into everyday 3B role and figure out a way to keep all of our OF guys in some consistent playtime

not much good to say about the dbacks today … i will say it feels right to have jake, blaze, and randal all in the lineup at the same time.
blaze at third, joc DH, and gerry at SS when he’s back feels like a decent every day lineup…
