Meetup #17 at Torch and Crown was a blast – perfect weather, tasty beer, and great vibes in this taproom that feels like a little oasis in the heart of Manhattan.

Had an amazing time at Green City on Saturday.
Always great whenever the community comes together and especially enjoyed meeting breweries that came from overseas.

Private label beers, such as ones from Costco, Aldi, Trader Joe’s, etc. are definitely good for the beer scene at large. Expands the pie for brewers (or at least abates the current market decline).
But they can never match the authenticity of a local brewery.

This month we'll be hanging at Finback's Gowanus taproom on Wednesday, 5/7.

As part of this month’s Brewminaries meeting, we got to hear from Jonny Ifergan, co-founder of Niteglowbeer, about his story and approach to brewing.
Their emphasis on bringing ‘single-origin’ to the beer scene is unique and adds depth, meaning, and greater connection to time and place. Go Jonny and team!
