2024: the year of “I did that.”
Honestly I didn’t really know where to start with this.
I made a list of what happened this year, and almost felt a little overwhelmed…
Realizing that I couldn’t remember everything.
Recognizing that it all flew by so quickly.
Feeling I’ve lived several lives in the span of a single year.
And of course, a part of me still wonders, “did I do enough?”. Classic.
I’d need to write a novel to summarize what this year and it's impact, but the TLDR: I officially left my full-time academic career in pursuit of art and photography. Everything else either led up or continued from that.
And it’s wild to think… damn. *I did that*. Wildly exciting and terrifying lol.
One thing’s for sure though. I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made. I absolutely loved my scientific career, but this is the right direction for me now.
2024 was monumental and rad.
2025 will be monumental and rad.
We keep climbing.
