For the 1832 General Election in #LymeRegis, #MaryAnning electioneered for the Whig candidate, William Pinney. She, of course, could not vote, but her brother qualified as an elector. Pinney won, beating the Tory John Fane whose family had dominated Lyme politics since the 1750s.
