I’ve never seen a paradigm where the supposed experts understand less about what’s coming. Every time a company or successful incumbent pens their mouth about AI, it unequivocally demonstrates their own obsolescence. Moreover, the confidence while doing it is genuinely something to behold.
The historical pattern of applying what you know to what you don’t has never been more dangerous commercially.
This isn’t a normal disruption cycle where incumbents adapt late.
The gap between “I get it” and actually getting it has never been wider, and the penalty for that gap has never been steeper.
