A few years ago, my family and I bought an apartment. For a couple of years, no one lived above us. It was quiet. But three years ago, new tenants moved in. And it's awful—you can hear their footsteps, and their floor creaks terribly, constantly. Almost every step makes a creaking sound. And I can't get used to it. Asking the tenants to fix the floor is useless. The apartment is rented. The tenants don't need anything. The owner of the apartment lives far away, in another city. And he doesn't care either. But I can't stand listening to this creaking anymore. I can't sell the apartment yet, and who would buy this creaky place? How do you people live? How do you feel about these creaks?
