if we prioritized this so that mini apps could hook into the share menu and get opened for any cast who would build something? https://github.com/farcasterxyz/miniapps/discussions/158

– share sheet is too buried imo + you’re competing with a bunch of other apps now – one of the best part of cast actions is composer actions and it seems this doesn’t solve for that – would still love a way for one-off cast actions to be able to just return a message that is displayed to the user once the action has been taken Can we just keep the existing flow with the cast actions launcher but they open mini apps instead (or take one-off actions?) Ideally when you install a mini app and it has cast actions available, those will get added (or become suggested like iOS) to the launcher

thanks for the feedback re: composer actions — this proposal is unrelated to replacing composer actions though that's something else we'll want to do re: share sheet — we could do this same thing but with the top level entrypoint the reality is it gets little usage and is confusing to new users and it's almost certainly going to stay this way even after integrating into the mini app standard I also don't see much difference in practice between a dedicated button or share button, in both cases it's one click to open and a second click to select the app the main difference is the dedicated can show you all your mini apps in a vertical scrolling menu whereas the share sheet will just have a horizontal row for your most used ones (with a secondary button to get to your unused ones, just like the ios share sheet) so the delta in clicks only applies if you're trying to trigger a cast action in a mini app that is outside the top 10 best options we can show you
