some people have different boundaries of what they find funny vs offensive. could be their nature, or a cultural thing (i hear many jokes about eastern europeans and don't mind). he crossed the line and apologized.

bad taste to drag it out in public and call them what you called them. that's not funny, just offensive.

🤔if some one don't like something, whatever it’s we can't say or do without that person permission. 

But i think 1st just talk with him for solve if it not solve then you can make it public or get anger.
