We keep hearing about “decentralization,” but most projects fail to make it meaningful. Farcaster is the first time I actually felt what it means to own my social presence. My identity doesn’t vanish if an app shuts down. My relationships persist, portable across experiences. That simple shift—owning my digital self—makes me wonder why we tolerated the opposite for so long. For anyone burned by the fragility of Web2 platforms, Farcaster is more than a product—it’s a promise.
