I live and work in Astana, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as a mortgage broker. The mortgage interest rate in the secondary market starts from 17.5% per annum, in the primary market from 14.5% per annum. It's very expensive. In developed countries, the interest rate is about 1-2% per annum.
