Why do tree branches, cracks in the ground, lightning bolts etc. have similar shapes? Snowflake Vectors, Photos and PSD files | Free Download They don’t! We do not have words for the different shapes so we think of them as the same! To the uninitiated all snow looks the same, but some say that every flake is different, all beer tastes the same etc but once you need to know the differences then there are lots. We have, for example, words for the first few regular polygons but after say 20 sides they look the same. To most people numbers are unexceptional and to Hardy, 1729 seems like a dull one. However to Ramanujan there was something special about it;)
