Round 1 Recap for A Tier Play!
One of the most fun tiers, at least for me, A Tier is capped just low enough to provide significant challenge to building a great roster. Top teams in this tier eat well, and they generally advanced as expected in the first round of post season play.
The top seeded NodeSwaddlers gave @codeofcrypto yet another advancing team, beating @mrbriandesign 's anti-design naming convention team 0x66AB7 in four straight. The Dirty Sox @zemm were similarly dominant against their divisional rivals NY Mess @bigtone.eth, winning in 5, and last year's top seed Cats had no trouble with sweeping Dali @christmasdali .
In the MoneyBallers v.s. Chives matchup, @grilledonion finally got a W, beating @kagami in 7, with SP Brandon Woodruff pitching a dominant 8 inning game, only allowing one run to Yordan Alvarez while striking out 12.
Woodruff was totally dominant all post season, in fact, pitching 30 innings in 7 games with 32 K and a 1.20 ERA, making him the obvious choice as series MVP.
NodeSwaddlers will try to get around the Chives' ace in round two, while the Dirty Sox deep staff will take on the offensive juggernaut Cats.
