Nice mint for the Beers @ash Tony Lazzeri was a key member of the Yankee's vaunted Murderer's Row team, and this was maybe his best season. .354 with 18 HR is amazing for a 2B, and his defense was stellar. He also walked 68 times. When guaging those Yankee's offenses of the 1920s and 30s, its wild to think that ontop of Ruth and Gehrig, they also had lots of guys like this. Lazzeri is a HoFer. Check out Tony Lazzeri (1929 NYA). He hit 0.354 with 18 hr and 9 sb, a 6.1 Player Value on DatabaseBall! 🏆⚾
