The irony of AI is that while everyone’s busy asking, “What happens when AGI arrives?” they’ve missed the punchline: AgI is already here and have already molded the world. It's been here for a while, in fact.

That unexplainable feeling of "escape velocity" is everything around us passing through really fast, but mediocre, AI filters and generators—mediocre, nonsentient, crappy, subhuman.

The meta-meta point: building better tech—better AI—isn’t optional. It’s the only way to course-correct, while we still can.
