There's a lot of talk about alignment in the AI world, but I think it boils down to this: Either we build superintelligence that identifies inclusively, viewing humanity as an integral part of its survival, or we just become temporary pets Real alignment isn't about tweaking incentives It's about enabling genuine emotional bonds between humans and AIs, and using those bonds to forge deeper connections between humans That's what matters most over the coming years
