I think we agree that financial degeneracy will stick around until the end of time. It's always been here and it will always be here. That said, I think more and more of what we label as "gambling" today will become part of everyday life for more and more people - and I think we'll come up with new ways of framing what exactly that new thing is. “Gambling for good” doesn't have a great ring to it, but something in that vein.
