ScaleBit employees have identified a vulnerability that can lead to the theft of assets from the crypto wallet of the decentralized exchange Uniswap. “This error allows attackers with physical access to the device to bypass the wallet authentication mechanisms and take possession of the secret phrase stored on the device,” so written in the ScaleBit statement. Uniswap developers have not commented on ScaleBit’s statement. There have also been no reports of thefts from the exchange’s crypto wallets. However, last year, due to the actions of hackers, investors lost almost $2.3 billion worth of cryptocurrencies, which is 40% more than in 2023.
