After the Curve Wars, the governance value of CRV tokens remains, but it has evolved. Initially, CRV's power came from vote-locking (veCRV), which influenced liquidity incentives across Curve pools. Post-war, many major players hold veCRV via third-party protocols or aggregators, diluting individual influence. Still, CRV retains utility: holders can participate in protocol governance, shape emissions, and benefit from fee sharing. However, the centralization of voting power and emergence of competing protocols have weakened its relative dominance. In short, CRV's governance value persists but is now more fragmented and strategically leveraged.
