It was a sunny Sunday. I'm staying at my grandparents' former house, and used the occasion to take care of the garden. Trim the trees, clear the brambles and ivy that had taken over, mow the lawn, weed the flowerbeds. All of it, from wilderness down to a perfectly tendered garden. And that felt GOOD 🌞 🌿

This, was my very first plot than I can recall. Dated March 25th, 2021, ballpoint pen over a (photocopy of a) watercolor drawing of mine. My idea was to enhance my drawings with digital patterns. I used a desktop robot arm named DexArm that I had bought with crowdfunding, and developed the software to drive it.

The best part is this gallery made of outputs cherry-picked by some collectors of Aux Arbres, along with their delightful quotes.
Much 🫶 to them for taking the time to curate their (sometimes very large) collection and write lovely pieces of text about it 💚 🌳

In May 2022, following the release of "(kinder)Garden, Monuments", I launched my print store so we had to deal with a lot of orders for kGM prints that we made in Bordeaux. While I could hand sign each print myself, @yazid who is based in Brunei had his signature done by a robot.

Stoked to see 3 plotted “A Bugged Forest” (next to @piterpasma’s) displayed at @bantamtools’s , who recently acquired Evil Mad Scientists, makers of the Axidraw plotters
Thanks @haiverart for spotting them 👍
If they upgraded their set, I wouldn’t mind going bigger than A1 ngl 👀

"Touched Grass", 122 editions, 2023
The last of a series of 10 works released on the former platform Versum on /tezos to celebrate the beauty of simple earthly matters rather that the hiccups of markets and charts.
100% Javascript code. To make this piece right, I must have gone through >100 outputs !

A tribute to the former logo of that other app everyone here used to love until they experienced the need to flee. To force trade @martingrasser's iconic design for a black X was indeed painful to accept.
"Blue Bird" on @objktcom
Blue Bird by @zancan - my favorite tribute to on of the best iconic logos ever created. what a shame the the new owner decided to kill it. I'll always call that platform Twitter, how about you. This is a very large piece of artwork - check it out on Objkt.com where you can buy one on secondary. Limited edition of 100.

Interesting ! Locking 2 traits ('Sketchbook' paper, 'sun' background ) across 3 collections to make a triptych. Although each collection has its own reason and story, some graphical elements have this transversality that help achieve a connection, a consistency across a body of work.

The Bugged Tree (2022), a 5-edition released on @objktcom, was a turning point for me. It led to a deeper acceptance of my own flaws and to embrace fully the beauty of chance. Not only it led to the release of “a Bugged Forest” but also I think impacted every single of my artworks ever after.

A slight digression from my usual body of work. I had a 20kB slot for some on-chain code, when I usually take 400kB, so I worked something from scratch. I dug some 3D code from 2001, with custom rasterizer, and made it real-time animated, plottable, with even an alphabet, and below 10kB. Not too rusty after all !
