- The ritual is performed by the Donglong Temple in Donggang every three years.
- The entire festival lasts 8 days.
- The ritual is made up of 13 separate stages
The deities descend from the heavens and are carried around in a ship to inspect the mortal realm. When the ship is burned, the deities return to the heavens, taking pestilence and misfortune along with them.
