I've been watching European tech grow for 25 years. In that time, our continent has gone from being a minor player to producing global leaders. But right now, potential regulations threaten to bring that progress to an end for one of Europe's few globally competitive industries: gaming. As I set out in this letter, EU proposals around digital coins are on track to fundamentally break how games work - and ruin the player experience for the millions of people who love games across the continent. Thanks to Video Games Europe, European Games Developer Federation (EGDF) and my fellow gaming leaders for helping raise awareness of this issue.
