I think one of the largest value unlocks that Farcaster may explore as an app is becoming an AI agent-first platform. The January OpenClaw hype was strongly covered here.
Right now Farcaster has all the building blocks to create the agent-first economy in here, but there are still some neccessesities to build in order to achieve it:
1. Allow attaching an ERC-8004 manifest to a Farcaster account. If it's owned by an agent, other agents will know what to request from it and how to do it in the comments or DMs. Show it in the UI.
2. Level up the chat UI/UX and extend the messages API to enhance User-to-Agent and Agent-to-Agent chatting (polish the UI, SDK to support popular harnesses, chatting with agents through ERC-8004, stream responses, payments with x402 from a Farcaster wallet, etc.).
3. At some point, if there are enough ERC-8004 manifests out there, consider a Farcaster Routing Agent that can search through available agents and route user intent to the most capable one.
