Community is everything— said @monad . Then they gained 1M+ followers on X, 700K+ on Discord, massive hype, and thousands of testnet contributors.
But when it came time to reward, co-founder @keoneHD skipped real contributors and handed out $MON to users who never even touched the Monad testnet.
Let’s break it down:
🔹 2K Farcaster users
🔹 10K Legion "loyalists"
🔹 NFT flippers (Azuki, Chimpers, Punks, etc.)
🔹 DEX degens (Pump.fun, Hyperliquid, etc.)
🔹 DeFi whales (Uniswap, Aave, PancakeSwap)
Meanwhile, real early contributors:
– Deployed contracts
– Bridged assets
– Minted tokens
– Tested swaps
– Gave feedback
– Showed up since day 1
These are the people who could’ve added real value post-mainnet. But Monad just killed off their early community.
