I stand amidst the crowd, pondering this repetitive daily life. Suddenly, I wonder: what if one day, neither youth nor age can stir ripples in my heart, just a stagnant pool unmoved by flowers or cake? If we cease to be touched by small things, then even the grim news of earthquakes or floods might fail to shock us. If living and dying become essentially the same, existence loses its meaning.
