What is it like to live in Sweden during the winter time? In winter, in Sweden, expect a life with a surprising percentage of what should be your daytime spent in what actually looks a lot like nighttime. As you can see here, Munich’s darkness is more evenly spread throughout the year, and they get more darkness during the summer half of the year than we do. But even there, complete darkness around Christmas time sets in at about 18:00, and dawn sets in at about 06:00. By March, we here in Sweden actually have earlier sunrises, and later sunsets, than Munich. So, we have longer days than the places south of us from March till September.
