I remember the disappointment I felt as everyone slowly realised that openAI isn't open sourcing gpt-3. I don't know exactly how advanced a 10 year ahead AI would be but it would definitely be sufficiently advanced to keep increasing the gap if we assume that AI keeps improving at its current pace.
