I get that in general, & agree.
However:
- Base is difficult. (I'm sure they'll expound more on technical reasons) but it's not as easy as mainnet, bnb, polygon, etc
- Not many people do it at all. Definitive.fi requires a separate smart wallet. Cowswap doesn't do it on-chain. Bankr is a black box and also smart wallet. Oku.trade requires a request per-pair.
- Matcha had a couple other reasons they shared with me and it's not my news to share that contributed to the delay (I agree with their choices)
- Uniswap v4 came out in the meantip
- Who knows what else is going on LP wise for matcha. I don't know
- Who else is actually requesting it other than me? I don't see it as a huge important feature, or an addressable market other than me, and so many other features to do
So, I wouldn't call it a commodity feature. FOR ME it's a commodity feature, and that's why I jump through the hoops to use definitive, because it's essential to how I profit as a trader.
That said, I can see why they don't prioritize

I had participated in the monad testnet before! I had enough tokens there, so I kept the tokens that were airdropped to me for now to participate in the monad mini-apps that are coming on farcaster (one mini-app came and I minted one NFT so far)👀
