Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal stated that the request aims to enhance transparency rather than retaliate against the SEC’s past enforcement actions. Despite a shift in the SEC’s stance following the U.S. government transition, with some cases being dropped, Coinbase still seeks to account for enforcement costs to promote a more rational regulatory framework in the future.
