Did you know that everyday activities like walking or lifting something heavy can cause tiny cracks "microfractures" in your bones? But don’t worry, your body has a built-in repair crew. Specialized cells quietly break down old or damaged bone and replace it with fresh, strong bone in a constant process called bone turnover. This helps keep your skeleton sturdy, heals micro-injuries, and makes sure your bones stay healthy and resilient over time. Sometimes these cells get out of whack though - where the ones that break down the bone outpace the ones that build it back up. You see this in things like osteoporosis and cancers that spread to the bones.

Good read! Just to add, Osteoporosis is more common in women( mainly after menopause in keeping to the fall in estrogen level) And yeah! Seeing this cast reminded me of the prostatic CA patient I had, he was already in stage 4, and Xray showed a lot of osteoblastic lesions. Lost him after some months💔🙏
