Today let’s talk about the difference between AI and AGI.
AI is the kind of intelligence we use every day. It’s smart, but only in one area at a time.
One AI can write, another can recognize faces, another can play chess….but each one stays in its lane.
It’s like having a bunch of helpers, each good at one job.
AGI is the bigger idea.
It’s a type of intelligence that can understand and learn anything, the way a human can.
Instead of being good at just one thing, an AGI could switch tasks, mix ideas, learn new skills on its own, and understand the world more generally.
So the simple difference is this:
AI is good at one thing. AGI can learn to do almost anything.
