A group of giraffes is called a tower. When a group of giraffe moms need to travel to distant areas to find the best leaves( forage) or water, they form a creche, which is basically an animal daycare. They leave all the young calves in a cosy cluster, and one or two adults designated sitter stand guard, using their superior neck height to spot any potential predators. This allows the moms to safely focus on foraging, knowing their calves are being watched by the tallest security system in the savanna.

What a strange animal. Look at it. It has a neck like a giraffe, a body looking like an antelope & stripes like a zebra. But the truth is, the okapi’s close relative is the giraffe. The main similarity between the okapi & the giraffe is both have long tongues that enable them to pluck leaves from trees.
