For years, HTTPS has been the foundation of secure communication on the internet. HTTPS ensures data in transit is encrypted. When you log into your bank or send an email, HTTPS protects that data from being intercepted by outside parties.
However, HTTPS has a fundamental limitation: once the data reaches the server, it must be decrypted to be processed. This means the service provider, the server administrator, and potentially any malicious actors who breach the server, can see your plaintext data.
