I deeply love this piece of my art.
It was originally created using soft pastels, but I gave it my own unique twist. The final result turned out even better than I had imagined, which made me love it even more.
I gave the original piece as a gift to someone special, so I no longer have it, but I took photos of every stage from the very beginning to the finished work, to keep the memory alive.
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

My art
This was one of the most challenging artworks Iโve ever done, not because of the original design, but because of the velvet paper I was working on, which was actually recommended by my instructor.
The piece was done on velvet paper using soft pastels, but the pigment just wouldnโt stay on the surface. I had no choice but to change my approach and adapt my style.
In the end, I was satisfied with how it turned out.
I hope you like it too, ๐

Parishan Lake, once the jewel of Kazerun and the largest freshwater lake in the Middle East, is now more parishan (sorrowful) than ever...
Years ago, it was home to hundreds of birds and fish but today, due to drought and excessive groundwater use, it has completely dried up.
Its name still means โsorrowfulโ, but now it reflects the grief of nature. ๐
