Bitcoin payments app Strike has launched operations in the UK, marking another step in its global expansion following recent launches in Europe and Africa. UK customers can now use the Strike app to buy, sell, and withdraw funds in Bitcoin and sterling, providing a versatile payment experience.
Strike, active in over 100 countries, is committed to promoting global Bitcoin adoption, despite other crypto companies scaling back in the UK. CEO Jack Mallers highlighted the UK's significant potential for Bitcoin adoption, given its population and economic standing.
To comply with local regulations, Strike will operate from its European base in partnership with FCA-registered Engelbert. Developed by Chicago-based Zap Solutions, Strike leverages Bitcoin’s Lightning Network for faster, cost-effective transactions.
