Thanks @tim for the update. Genuine question: why there isn’t any focus on apps? On actual utility of the Ethereum protocol?

What kind of additional app focus would you like to see

Rn app devs want more throughput and faster speeds

So i think it's an upstream boon

Deploying ETH is the bare minimum at this point. Look at the level of support and engagement the foundation of other chains (Solana, Monad, ecc) do for their apps.

Apps should always be at the center of any chain’s plan.
Appreciate this is an update for the protocol team only, but more focus on apps can only benefits the whole ethereum eco

Eg ef has started deploying eth into defi already

As for other foundations, what sort of work do they do to push apps that you would want to see mirrored?

They already have them on L2s: cheap, almost instant txs.

Ok improving the stack, but it’s time to start focusing on the real use cases to get adoption.
And there’s plenty to explore (DeFi, DePIN, AI, …) - which is where other ecosystems are ahead of in terms of experimentation and adoption, and ultimately the thing that will matter the most.
