Don’t get me wrong: Venice is spectacular. It is something you’ll never see in your entire lifetime, not even Amsterdam or Stockholm or those other cities calling themselves “Venice of the” could ever be comparable to Venice. It is literally filled with art works, being one of the most romantic and artistically pleasant cities on this planet. Naples? It is a lifestyle. Naples is full of beauty as well: three royal palaces, museums, squares, palaces, theatres and whatever. The thing that surprises you is its intrinsically volcanic spirit, whom you’ll feel at every single corner. Lose yourself in the alleys of both these maritime cities. Let them fascinate you.

@crezzang What time of year is it best to visit Russia? It’s right now: the Indian Summer. The last warm spell of the year. We call it “Babye Leto”, or “Woman’s Summer”. It’s awfully short. It’s gentle, a humane contrast to the humid, hot, bug-ridden summer of the continental Russia. It smells like girl’s hair wet from rain. The vacation is over. The Instagram glow of your summerly awesomness is a memory no one cares about any longer. Yet the parks are still green. Moscow is still warm enough for romantic strolls, peripatetic discussions and several pints al fresco with little risk of catching cold. You miss it, you can catch a second chance in Moscow when the “Golden Autumn” comes, with leaves turning red and yellow in October. But then it gets a bit too melancholic to my taste.
