The @sophon (@0xsebastiena, @EdC, @oskaritem, @tcbean) project's recent airdrop has drawn criticism for its baffling reward structure. Users who invested in multiple nodes on a single wallet received far smaller drops compared to those with just one node per wallet. In an industry striving to resist from Sybil attacks—where bad actors exploit systems with multiple identities—Sophon’s approach seems to incentivize this very behavior. It’s a slap in the face to loyal supporters who committed more to the project, alienating the core community it needs for long-term success. History shows that projects disrespecting their dedicated base rarely thrive, unlike drop hunters who contribute little beyond AI-generated fluff. I hope Sophon soon proposes a node buyback return option.
