Which AVS rarely report slashing incidents? AVSs that perform simpler, more deterministic tasks with well-understood codebases report the fewest slashing incidents. Data Availability (DA) layers are a prime example. Their slashing conditions are often straightforward, such as failing to attest to data availability or double-signing. The logic is less complex than, for instance, a state transition verification for a rollup. Similarly, oracles that simply report price data with a clear consensus mechanism tend to have fewer slashing events than more complex bridges or interoperability hubs, which manage locked assets and have complex logic for verifying state across chains. The rarity of slashing is directly proportional to the simplicity of the task and the maturity of the underlying code.
