Based on the latest global BTC hashrate heatmap, China has indeed climbed back into the top 3 Bitcoin-producing countries, now holding 14% of global share.
The top two are:
• USA — 37%
• Russia — 15%
At this pace, China could realistically become the No.2 producer next year.
This growth is unlikely due to policy changes.
More likely explanations:
• regional excess electricity that needs to be consumed, or
• facilities labeled as “AI compute centers” that are, in reality, mining Bitcoin.
The numbers speak for themselves.
