Farcaster has better ID system, and syncing story than BlueSky, if it also had embedded partial replication hub, it would have been local first too.

To be fair, UX for local first apps is not easy and we are already feeling that pain of that in Bitkit, but I am not ready to give up on it any time soon.

Also, similar to AtProto and Nostr, not much thoughts about how to handle private data and permission control, which might be ok for Social media focus. But there is more to both life and the economy than open broadcasting. It is hard to move forward worrying about that though, so I understand.

I wonder if Farcaster is at all open to an alternative Identity solution that doesn't depend on any blockchain, or is that too detrimental to the profitability of the company? Note, whatever Identity system used, it won't negate the market for unique usernames, just an alt for Farcaster ID.
