embedded wallets inside frames feel like an anti pattern

at warpcast and super we spend a lot of time to make the wallet connections good (warpcast through mvp, us through super wallet)

feels backwards to add another layer of complexity and doesn’t actually result in a better UX

Challenge is if your app requires many transactions (and potentially some behind the scenes), clunky to have the wallet UX interrupt the game play.

I was long not using embedded wallets - cool opportunity for other clankermon interfaces if we didn't

A challenge I’ve found at the moment is that I like to keep separate wallets and functionally would keep relatively small amounts in a connected wallet, yet sometimes for airdrops etc it’s better to hold certain tokens or nfts in certain wallets. 

Example related is I don’t keep my longer term holds in my trading wallet connected to fc - yet keep a stack of ham there to qualify for ham tokens.

It’s certainly a mess right now - with like a dozen wallets on base alone.

Think I’m atypical compared to the masses and design should probably be with them in mind.

ideally there is a way to have one tap interactions with just one app

warpcast could do it today because there is an embedded wallet, super will launch with it

cause I’m pretty used to spinning up new wallets for various projects, and to a degree appreciate the separation from my main wallet if I’m exploring new apps.

most of the world popilation doesn’t have an embedded wallet yet

better UX for current crypto users (with existing wallets) or non-crypto users who have no experience with existing standalone wallets?

Going out of the app kills the flow every time for me (> don’t do many transactions); embedded smart session def 10x better.

agree — it seems weird to me to have a wallet not operating at the 'root' level of a client

Frames should be able to leverage wallet connection provided by Farcaster
They shouldn’t add their own wallet connection I guess

Consumer users burn out on wallet tx popups and for some (web2.5<) its a trust issue, app wallets leads to fractured assets but still gives the user a better ux.  Real anti-pattern is requiring a native token to transact.
