hiii. introducing myself here via a 4-part 🧵. I’m a former professional athlete (cyclocross, iykyk) who believes in the power of dance, poetry, and prison reform.
I entered the decentralized world last fall and have been swimming in its deep end ever since.
what I’m looking for on Farcaster: more women and nonbinary people (and kind, not creepy men) to learn from, exchange with, and share in this space; also, creative depth
fyi writing is at the center of most everything I do and has been since I was like six. here’s my first book and yes those are my legs.

Welcome, and I'm also fascinated with prison reform. Many alternatives that we can heal souls instead of perpetuating cycles of brokenness. In fact, as you know, from reading your what you're passionate about through Babe. We have yet to find the better ways to live in many aspects 🙏
I predict a massive shift is coming for us all, and AI is helping us to introspect what it means to be on this earth.

Welcome to Farcaster!
When I was an undergrad, a professor asked me to intern on a documentary for PBS that was being made about her work with a women's prison. I went to the prison regularly for a summer, meeting and photographing inmates and hearing their stories. While I don't work in prison reform, the experience touched me deeply.

thank you, @patriciaxlee.eth ! I love hearing this, and wish more people could experience something similar/adjacent, even if only once. the humanization is so important. how could something like that NOT stay with you?
I helped start a creative writing program at a men’s prison, and now volunteer for a restorative justice program, among other things. point being: your experience, mine—however small or big—contributes to us seeing and treating one another as fellow humans instead of intangible others.
