I'm hosting Joe, Penny & a few others from the Design School to Regenerate Earth here on southern high plains next week - an homage to the land & prep for bioregional organizing. Will be busy! Will see Bison at Caprock canyons, failing reservoirs Mackenzie & Buffalo Lake, degraded & restored playa wetlands (Ogallala Commons field day), our landscape rehydration works at Wildcat & the Kritser, & multiple rivers including the Canadian, the N Canadian aka Beaver, the Cimarron & the Arkansas. This February, we built 80 leaky weirs to slow, spread & soak stormwater, retain moisture & nutrients, recover healthy riparian function & recharge groundwater - along W Amarillo Creek at Wildcat Bluff Discovery Center It's rained enough to activate flow & we're harvesting rainwater 💪🏽 A good start🤠
