another thing that comes to mind is that $eggs wouldn't be possible if not for @base and @jessepollak — back in our zk days we only used polygon and ethereum mainnet and it wasn't ready for such a throughput base handled 57k+ txs in 3 days like a champ, not a single issue and we don't even think about gas anymore

When I got entered into crypto, I quit ETH because of the high gas fees. I didn’t know about Base at the time, so I moved to SOL and lost everything to rug pulls. I’m glad I finally found Base.
