trust me when I say: drop a couple of ice cubes in it. I’m not a fan of warm espresso but the ice completely changes the flavour profile and it’s super yum

my first million! I do the same for flights + driving. I saw your earlier post on info overwhelm and I think pods are a reprieve for my stone age brain in trying to deal with the firehose/ shortification of media. otherwise I’d def be trapped in the hellscape of doomscrolling 5 different platforms

I listen to one pod religiously + occasionally load up a bunch of eps around a topic/person I’m researching. I save eps for when I’m on a walk, commuting or to motivate me to clean lol. I think the parasocial element kicks in for a lot of ppl. its an effective channel for building deep sustained loyalty vs shorts

you can literally just realise and release things into existence

ai enables zero-cost prototyping. used to be: idea → sketch → refine → mock up → iterate → prototype → maybe. now: idea → generate → validate → release. tbh I think we were early to experiment with this in higher last year & why it felt creatively explosive and energising

was messing around in chatgpt and mocked up some merch ideas for mad genius (my newsletter) in ~2 mins. the cost of imagining something into existence is now basically zero. what an insane timeline we live in.

freelance is this weird ongoing experiment in rethinking work and what i'm actually optimising for. "how do I structure my day for max efficiency?" yields a different reality than "what conditions make the weird good thing more likely to happen?" one creates a prison of optimisation; the other ups the odds of magic.

a theory i keep circling back to: people who post prolifically tend to have very rich inner monologues. they’re already narrating their lives internally. posting is just externalising that to cognitively offload.
